Frequently Asked Questions
Quality you can count on
Just because a copy shop is open all night doesn't mean you should trust your important business printing to them. After all, when it comes to your presentation materials, nothing but perfection is acceptable. At Presentech, we built our reputation printing presentation materials for the largest Fortune 500 companies. Our attention to detail and understanding of what it takes to get the job done right is what makes us different. Why trust your important printing to someone who doesn't care about your order as much as you do?
The fastest turns around
We print up to 3,600 letter pages an hour to handle even your largest project. Our bindery is completed in house for the fastest possible service. And when you have an important presentation coming up, the faster your materials are finished, the better!
Everyone offers color lasers. What makes yours so unique?
We print your color lasers on a production level Xerox digital press with CREO processor. This robust press is a far cry from the creaky old copier you find at many print shops. Crisp text and vibrant colors that make other laser copiers pale by comparison.
How do I choose between the Indigo Press and the Xerox color laser press?
Color lasers are perfect for sell sheets, Powerpoint or bound booklets or for most very short run needs. The speed and flexibility of color laser printing makes this a great option for same day printing as well. But, because all toner or digital dry ink devices tend to show some cracking when folded, pieces that are being scored or folded are best printed on our Indigo Press. When using the Xerox press, you can also reduce this issue by designing your piece without ink on the score line.
Due to the setup time required by Indigo, smaller runs are sometimes not as efficient on the Indigo Press and best printed on color laser.
What bindery options are available?
We offer most popular binding systems, including GBC Comb, PlastiCoil and Wire binding. We also offer GBC ProClick, a great option for coil books with an industrial, hi-tech look. Stapling, 3-hole drilling, padding, booklet making, scoring and folding are available, but depending on the ink coverage may be better printed on our Indigo Press. Visit our bindery page to learn more.
How do I create a file for 2-sided printing?
Our presses require a 2 page file for 2-side printing, with page one the front side and page two the back side. Additionally, a multiple page document should follow the same rules, with each successive page added on to this document.
Do I need to create a multiple-up file?
No, you may just send us a one up file and we ill do the rest. We will arrange your document to print the most efficient way on the press sheet. Just be sure to include crops and bleed for proper trimming.
What else do I need to know?
Always include a proof or PDF so we may check your file against a print out. This helps avoid printing errors and allows us to double check that all graphics and fonts have been correctly printed. |
